To enable two-factor authentication (2FA) for your account, go to Settings > My Settings > Account & Security and click on "Enable Two-Factor Authentication."

The next step is to open an authenticator app, like Google Authenticator or Microsoft Authenticator, and scan the QR code. If you don't have an authenticator app, you can get one for Android devices here, or for iOS devices here.

After you scan the QR code, the authenticator app will generate a code. You must enter it in the box above and click "Verify Code."

Note: Sometimes, you won't be able to scan the code. If that's the case, follow these steps:

1. Open the authenticator app.
2. Add a new account and give it a name.
3. Enter the 32-character key and set Time Based to "Yes."

If everything works correctly, you should see that 2FA is enabled in the next step.

You can also enable the authentication via an SMS code as a second method. Click "Enable," enter your phone number, and click "Send Verification Code."

Recovery Codes

The recovery codes can be used to access your account if you lose access to your device and cannot receive 2FA codes generated by your authenticator app. Please note that these codes are as crucial as your Paymo account password. Keep them in a safe place!
