If you have a large number of projects, the easiest way to find the one you need is to use the filter option. All three views (List, Table, Board and Portfolio) have the same filter options.
TIP: If you click on 'Favorites', you can either 'Save Filters As Favorites' or choose from your saved presets, i.e. 'My Filter Favorites':
If you want to see all the filters at a glance, toggle the “Show all filter options” view in the upper right corner:
