The Gantt Chart is one of the most popular techniques used in project management for scheduling, monitoring, and adjusting projects.

The Gantt Chart shows you how activities and tasks are displayed against time, offering answers to critical questions like:

  • What needs to be done?
  • When does a task start and when it's scheduled to be completed?
  • Which activities overlap and what are the connections between tasks?
  • Who is the person responsible for a task?

NOTE: If you’re not familiar with this technique, you can learn more about Gantt Charts on our blog.

In Paymo, there are 2 ways of using Gantt Charts:

1. Portfolio Gantt Chart, where you can see the timeline for all the active projects
2. Project Gantt Chart, for an individual project

Where can I find them?

To access the Portfolio Gantt, go to Projects → in the second column, change from List/Table view to Portfolio Gantt Chart.

To access the Gantt Chart for a particular project, go to Projects → choose a project → Tasks → Change from List/Table/Board view to Gantt Charts.
